Like most people who buy pickup trucks, I don’t really want one. I knew this going in — I want a custom SUV.

Design
I modeled the back of the cab and frame rails
A welded structure will support storage boxes on the sides of the frame rails, and more storage in between them, but below the top of the (not yet existent wheel wells)
Added an upper layer to the structure. This will expand the possible size of boxes, and provide a surface for a large top “deck” The center area between the frame rails will be open on the inside, but the sides will have storage cabinets accessible from the sides. This will allow me to have a general “junk” area, as well as tool storage, and still have a spot to strap down bulky items, or setup a sleeping area.
